This is a really lovely vintage Adolfo purple black and ivory windowpane plaid wool 2 piece jacket and skirt suit. This ensemble was purchased at I Magnin in the late 1970's and is a good example of Adolfo's Chanel like styling! We love vintage Adolfo pieces and are not surprised that his client list included some of the 20th century's most famous fashion icons like the Duchess of Windsor, Betsy Bloomingdale, Babe Paley, CZ Guest, and Gloria Vanderbilt.
The jacket has beautiful decorative gold tone buttons along the center front opening, the cuffs of the sleeves, and the collar. The lapels are open, creating a low V neckline above the button closure.
The pencil skirt has an elastic waistband and both pieces are super comfortable to wear and are unlined.
Made in USA with of 100% wool, and we estimate this would best fit a modern size 6/8. Please review the measurements for the most accurate size estimate.
